We recently installed new eco-friendly equipment that gives us the ability to make the lenses for your prescription eye glasses right here in the city of Eagle inside our office. Eagle VISION One has an in-house laboratory that utilizes efficient, low energy consumption, low water consumption, space saving state of the art equipment.

For example, our Nidek patternless edger (shapes the lenses to fit the frame) is compliant with the European Union ROHS (restriction of hazardous substances) directive for electronic equipment, and uses 40 percent less water than prior models. No hazardous waste is produced during the lens-making process.

Another “green” benefit to our new laboratory is increased efficiency of time and travel. In some cases your glasses can be made while you wait, saving an extra trip to the office. Every time glasses are made at Eagle VISION One “the middle man” (wholesale laboratory) is no longer needed to utilize a courier to pick up your eyewear frame from our office, deliver it to their laboratory to have lenses made and assembled into the frame, then delivered by courier again to our office. The bottom line is that eye glasses made at Eagle VISION One are as “green” as they come!
